NDIS Compliance Officer - Australia

Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will be to maintain the organisation’s compliance systems and ensure ongoing adherence to the NDIS Practice Standards, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements. You will keep policies and records audit ready, manage incidents and complaints, and support internal and external audits from preparation through to close out.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and version control policies, procedures, and forms to keep them current against the NDIS Practice Standards and NDIS Code of Conduct, and flag documents due for review
Prepare evidence and documentation packs for certification, surveillance, and internal audits, and coordinate the team to close gaps ahead of assessment
Record, track, and close incidents, complaints, and feedback in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
Maintain the incident, complaints, feedback, and risk registers, and escalate reportable incidents within required timeframes
Conduct scheduled internal compliance checks against the NDIS Practice Standards
Identify compliance gaps and areas of risk, and track corrective and preventive actions through to completion
Track staff compliance records including worker screening checks, qualifications, mandatory training, and renewals
Monitor changes to NDIS legislation, rules, and Practice Standards, and summarise the impact on the business
Maintain accurate participant and service delivery records in line with privacy and documentation obligations
Prepare compliance reports and briefs for management, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide general administrative support as required
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in an NDIS compliance, disability services, or aged care support role (preferred but not required)
Working knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission framework
Familiarity with NDIS incident management, reportable incidents, and audit preparation
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage documentation across multiple compliance areas
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear policies and compliance reports
Ability to work collaboratively with management and service delivery teams
Proficiency in using CRM or compliance systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
Tertiary qualification or certification in disability, community services, governance, compliance, or a related discipline (preferred)
